ESK completed this contract in conjunction with a major developer within a very tight timescale. Selecting products to use in a sterile environment was one of the customer’s major concerns, particularly as, at this time, there was a wave of media coverage about hospital-borne infections such as MRSA.
With so much at stake, selecting suitable products was vital, so ESK called on additional, backup expertise from Brewers Protective Coatings.
In hygiene-critical areas, Rust-Oleum Mathys Aqua Matt was used. Twin-packs were used in areas of high wear, for example the morgue and the showers, to enable easy and effective daily cleaning. Dulux Diamond Matt was applied to busy communal areas because it is durable and easy to clean.
More than 70 ESK staff worked on this project over the Christmas period, the main works were completed, on time, between November and January.
