Example Projects: Domestic: Ampthill

This particular project was to redecorate the external surfaces of a private property.

The house had already been rendered and walls were showing signs of weathering with the presence of organic growth in the form of mould and algae. There was also evidence of minor cracking to the substrate.

A fungicidal wash was applied to all affected areas and after twenty - four hours removed by hand brushing. Cracks were raked out and filled with Weathershield flexible filler to allow for any further movement. To complete decorations to the walls, two full coats of Dulux All Seasons paint was applied.

The external woodwork to the property was in reasonable condition showing only minor signs of failure. Areas were stripped back and loose coatings removed.
Bare areas of timber were knotted, primed and undercoated providing a uniformed surface to apply finish coats of Dulux Weathersheild undercoat and gloss.
Other woodwork was prepared and stained using a high build stain system.
The customer was given a hardwearing, long-lasting specification through thorough preparation of surfaces and professional applications of products.
