Example Projects / Industrial / Open University Print DistributionInvolved the predations and decoration of a very busy print room, which had to be kept in full operation, which meant access was only available from Friday pm until Sunday pm. Following the removal and stacking of workbenches and furniture, plastic sheeting was erected to all perimeter shelving to protect the stock. We then had to lift up the existing rubberized flooring system and remove from site, (which had failed).
The entire floor area was the prepared by the use of a dust free vacuum blast system, which as well as removing all traces of adhesive, gave the floor a suitable clean profill to accept a twin pack paint system. This was completed by Saturday lunchtime. We then proceeded to apply one coat of twin pack acrylic paint, which was fully dry in one hour, allowing us to apply one heavy coat of twin pack water based polyurethane coating. This also allowed us to decorate the walkways in a different colour from the main floor. The products selected had to be quick drying, water based, durable enough to take pallet trucks, but most importantly need to be fully cured by the Monday morning, as the building would be back in full production. |
